The first Bangsamoro Ramadhan Trade Fair, located inside the BARMM Compound, will be opened today, May 8, at four o’clock in the afternoon.

In a press briefing held this morning, Rosslaini Sinarimbo, officer-in-charge of the region’s trade and industry ministry, said that compared to the previous fairs inside the compound, this year’s fair will have a bigger space to accommodate more visitors.

“It would be more family-friendly. Mas makakadala ka ng friends and family. Mas malaki ang dining area and common space for the visitors,” Sinarimbo said.

Also present during the press briefing were Bangsamoro Grand Mufti Abu Huraira Udasan and Shalimar Candao, OIC of the tourism ministry.

The month-long trade fair will be composed of 73 booths featuring food and non-food products.

One of the highlights of the fair will be the nightly programs organized by the different ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Government. The programs will include discussions covering a wide range of Islamic lessons. It will start immediately after the Taraweeh, the Ramadhan nightly prayers.

Wearing of revealing clothes such as sandos, shorts, and the likes are not allowed inside the fair. Single motor vehicles are also not allowed to enter the BARMM compound.
