COTABATO CITY—Athletes from the Bangsamoro region clinched the gold medal by dominating men’s volleyball competition from Region-6 (Western Visayas) at the National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (NSCUAA) Games 2023 held at the New Clark City Athletic Stadium in Capas, Tarlac from Oct. 1-6.
Tawi-Tawi athletes, representing Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), achieved a commanding victory with straight-set wins of 25-19, 25-14, and 25-20.
More than 6,000 student-athletes nationwide from 114 state universities and colleges across the country participated in the NSCUAA Games 2023.
Bangsamoro Sports Commission (BSC) Chairman Dr. Arsalan Diamaoden was immensely proud and thrilled to extend heartfelt congratulations to the BARMM Volleyball Team for their sensational victory in the Men’s Volleyball during the NSCUAA Games.
“That remarkable achievement, winning three consecutive sets against the Region 6 team has not only brought glory to our beloved region but also showcased the unwavering spirit and talent of our athletes,” he said.
Diamaoden added that competing on a national stage with triumph is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and exceptional skill, and winning the gold medal is not just a victory, but also a symbol of commitment to excellence.
