COTABATO CITY—Ministry of Finance, and Budget and Management’s Bangsamoro Treasury Office (MFBM-BTO) recognized performing BARMM-Ministries, Offices, and Agencies (MOAs) during the Annual Bangsamoro Local Revenue Collection Forum on April 16, at Pagana Convention Hall, held here in the city.
The event aimed at encouraging Bangsamoro MOAs to meet their annual revenue collection targets, the forum featured informative sessions including a lecture on fiscal examination, updates on Bangsamoro treasury matters, and presentations highlighting FY 2023 accomplishments and FY 2024 collection targets along with the first quarter accomplishment report.
Bangsamoro Treasurer Naila Dimaraw is hopeful that this event will serve as a testament to our collective commitment towards sustainable development and financial empowerment in the Bangsamoro region.
She said, “This Annual Bangsamoro Local Revenue Collection Forum is a very significant platform for us to improve and strengthen the implementation of our own local revenue policies and procedures which is vital in the development of our revenue generation and financial resource mobilization.”
“This initiative demonstrated the MFBM’s dedication to fulfilling its mandate which is centered on ensuring that “Sa Bawat Sentimo, Bangsamoro ang Sentro,” she added.
Meanwhile, commendable performances for 2023 include the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Cooperative and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA), and Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education-Technical Education and Skills Development (MBHTE-TESD) as the top three most outstanding collecting MOAs.
The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) were also recognized as the most compliant ministries.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism (MTIT) emerged as the most improved collecting ministry. The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) was acknowledged as the highest collector among the top three, with MOTC and MENRE securing second and third place, respectively.
