COTABATO CITY—To strengthen income generation and improve the delivery of basic services in the Bangsamoro region, the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Management’s (MFBM) Treasury Office (BTO) capacitated the Local Government Unit (LGU) middle managers on tax collection last week in this city.
The activity was participated by middle managers across Maguindanao province, including those from Datu Odin Sinsuat, Datu Blah Sinsuat, Talitay, Sultan Kudarat, Mother Kabuntalan, North Upi, Parang, Matanog, Buldon, Barira, Northern Kabuntalan, and Sultan Mastura, and Special Geographic Area (SGA) such as Aleosan, Pigcawayan, and Midsayap.
Bangsamoro Treasurer Naila Dimaraw emphasized that the activity is an opportunity to equip all LGUs with the right knowledge in terms of tax collection.
“It increases their capacity needed to improve the social delivery of basic services from their respective offices, thereby strengthening and achieving more fiscal viability and local autonomy,” Dimaraw said.
