COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Government ramps up its support to health care and social services for far-flung communities in the provinces of Tawi-Tawi and Maguindanao del Norte by providing more transport vehicles and various equipment.
On July 18 in a ceremony held here at the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) ground at Bangsamoro Government Center, BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim led the turnover of Php 28-Million worth of health facilities.
These include 1-unit sea ambulance, 1-unit fire truck, and 2-unit patients transport vehicles intended for a hospital in Tawi-Tawi, and for the League of Barangay in Northern Kabuntalan and Camp Abubakar community in Maguindanao del Norte.
“This is not the first time—we have been continuously turning over projects funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund of the members of parliament,” Ebrahim shared.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the cases of unrest in the Bangsamoro homeland have deprived people of their rights and welfare, including access to government benefits and social services.
“With the signing of the peace accord, we can now feel its positive impact on our people, Alhamdulillah. I’m delighted and humbled because this occasion manifests that the peace process is working and the BARMM government,” Ebrahim said.
He assured that the Government of the Day’s transitional authority is working diligently to bring a positive difference to every constituent of all communities in the Bangsamoro region.
Meanwhile, MILG Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo said, “Ang itu-turnover natin ngayon ay 1-unit sea ambulance para sa Tuan Ligaddung Lepae Memorial Hospital in Tawi-Tawi this is funded under the TDIF of MP Alih, 2nd 1-unit of fire truck funded under the TDIF MP Maleiha Candao which will be deployed to Camp Darapanan, 3rdly, 2-unit of patient transport vehicles funded under TDIF MP Suharto Abolodto ibibigay naman sa Liga ng mga Barangay sa Northern Kabuntalan and Muslim Upliftment Foundation Incorporated of Tawi-Tawi,” Atty. Sinarimbo said.
“Yung TDIF ay pondo gagamitin para mapabilis natin yung phase ng recovery, rehabilitation at saka transition toward stronger institution of government in the Bangsamoro yun ho ang idea ng TDIF, ” he added.
Present officials during the ceremony were Senior Minister Abunawas Maslamama, BTA Member Eddie Alih, MENRE Minster Akmad Brahim, MILG Deputy Minister Ibrahim Ibay, and MILG staff among others. (Majid Nur/BIO)
