COTABATO CITY—Agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from Maguindanao del Sur received a total of 143 owners duplicate certificates (ODS) of emancipation patent (EP) during the launching of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform’s (MAFAR) “MAFAR– to -Door Program” last February 27-28, 2023.
With a total land area of 339.7244-hectare agricultural lands, the land titles were personally handed over by MAFAR-Maguindanao Provincial Director Ronjamin Maulana, assisted by Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Nur-amin Caludtiag during the ceremonial distribution at Municipality of Datu Saudi Ampatuan and Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Norte.
The distribution is among the initiatives of MAFAR in promoting equitable land distribution and tenurial security in the Bangsamoro region based on the Administrative Order No. 05, Series of 2019 of the Department of Agrarian Reform re: Amendment to Administrative Order No.07, Series of 2011 Entitled, “Revised Rules and Procedures Governing the Acquisition and Distribution of Private Agricultural Lands under Republic Act (RA) No. 6657, as Amended’’, all Owner’s Duplicate Certificates (ODCs) of EP/CLOA titles shall be distributed to the Agrarian Beneficiaries.
Sixty-Five (65) land titles with a total of 168.9889 hectares were given to ARBs in Barangay Kabinge and Salbu, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, while 10 land titles with a total area of 14.2051 hectares were received by the ARB from Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur.
The remaining land titles are scheduled to be distributed in the municipality of Talayan, Ampatuan, Sultan Kudarat, Datu Anggal Midtimbang, and Datu Abdullah Sangki.
Provincial Director Maulana said the distribution is based on the directive of the BARMM Chief Minister and MAFAR Minister “to bring the Government closer to the Bangsamoro community, guided by Moral Governance.”
“The intervention of MAFAR does not end with the distribution of land title to the beneficiaries. In fact, the ministry will provide programs that will further support their livelihood, particularly in Agriculture and Fisheries,” Caludtiag said.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Government of the Day for helping them facilitate the lawful splitting of the land titles and more importantly providing them with the original CLOA.
“Awarding of the land titles is a great legacy for the leadership of Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim and Minister Mohammad Yacob,” the beneficiaries said.
The distribution was also graced by Datu Saudi Ampatuan Mayor Edris Sindatok and Vice Mayor Datumero Utto, Shariff Aguak Mayor Datu Akmad Ampatuan, Supervising Agrarian Reform Program Officer Bai Shaharazad Lidasan, Senior Agrarian Reform Program Officer Nadir Salakadang and other key employees of MAFAR – Maguindano.
