COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Government’s Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (BARMM-READi) held a routine testing and inspection of water and land transport assets on May 4 in Barangay Datu Mantil Pigcawayan, to enhance the region’s preparedness for any eventualities or calamities in the future.
The event also showcased the progress of the villages under the Special Geographic Area (SGA) and contributed to boosting their economy.
“The activity is part of the office’s preparedness measures in ensuring timely and efficient response to future emergencies,” READI Executive Assistant V Norhassim Sinarimbo said.
The event provided an opportunity for the staff to discuss pressing gaps and challenges related to mitigating measures that need to be taken.
Barangay Treasurer Esrail Mantil expressed gratitude to the entire BARMM government under the leadership of Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim for the program and projects that were implemented, which significantly improved the area. (Majid Nur/BIO with reports from BARMM READi)
