MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR— A high-delegation team from the Bangsamoro Government’s social services ministry recently visited its projects and beneficiaries in this province to strengthen its connection and boost its presence in the community.
On June 6, 2024, the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) Minister Atty. Raisa Jajurie led the delegation along with Deputy Minister Ustadza Nur-Ainee Tan-Lim, Director General Atty. Mohammad Muktadir Estrella, Director Zoraya Masakal, and Chief of Staff Atty. Lizel Mone on their executive visits dubbed “Kumustahan Sessions” to the municipalities of Ampatuan, Buluan, Datu Hofer, Datu Paglas, Datu Piang, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Mamasapano, and Shariff Aguak.
Jajurie said that by visiting the communities and listening to their stories, MSSD could enhance its social protection programs and services to effectively address the client’s needs.
“We want to see best practices. We also want to raise questions and reflect on how we do it in our field offices. The idea is to learn from each other and implement those lessons,” Jajurie said.
Among the clients visited were beneficiaries of various MSSD programs such as the Bangsamoro Critical Assistance to Indigents in Response to Emergency Situations (B-CARES), Kalinga para sa may Kapansanan, Angat Bangsamoro: Kabataan tungo sa Karunungan (ABaKa), Kupkop, and Unlad Pamilyang Bangsamoro.
Housing units under the Ministry’s Bahay Program in the municipalities of Datu Hofer and Ampatuan were also checked, including the assisted child development centers under the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program in Shariff Aguak, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, and Datu Hofer.
The said field visits forged stronger connections and interventions and served as an innovative platform for more effective and efficient social service delivery across the Bangsamoro region. (Abdullah Matucan/BIO with reports from MSSD)
