COTABATO CITY—Through the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), the Bangsamoro Government has launched efforts to promote workers’ family welfare as part of its initiatives to enhance workplace productivity and worker-management relations.
On Aug. 24, 2024, MOLE’s Bureau of Employment Promotion and Welfare (BEPW) organized the 1st Orientation on the Bangsamoro Workers’ Family Welfare Program, gathering businesses and organizations at SB Function Hall.
“This orientation is our first step toward achieving this noble goal. Many workers face challenges, including a lack of workplace facilities, working in fields unrelated to their degrees, and conflicts with clients or employers,” BEPW Director Sara Jane Sinsuat said.
Sinsuat emphasized that the BARMM Government is focused on uplifting families through programs designed to enhance the working environment and family welfare.
“To improve good working atmosphere and family welfare of workers should be given an emphasis on,” Sinsuat added.
Suib Guiaman, Operations Manager of Everpoint Security Agency, thanked MOLE for its diverse programs. “This initiative is crucial for every family, and we are grateful for the insights. We look forward to more activities like this,” Guiaman said.
As a gesture of appreciation, the ministry distributed grocery packages to participants, ensuring everyone left with a token of gratitude.
The successful launch of this orientation marks a promising start for the Bangsamoro Workers’ Family Welfare Program, setting a positive tone for future initiatives to enhance the quality of life for workers and their families in the region.
