COTABATO CITY—Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Dr. Mohammad Yacob has received an award for his contributions as a public servant in peace and nation-building.
The Honorary Public Servant of the Year – Excellence in Peace and Nation Building award was given to Yacob during the 6th year of recognition, spearheaded by the Nation Builders and Mosliv Awards, on May 3, at Okada Manila.
This year’s awards carry the theme “Sustainability in Agriculture: Cultivating the Earth, Feeding the Future,” aimed to celebrate and honor the changemakers and leaders in sustainability across the Philippines.
Yacob said, “This award is a testament to the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of not just myself but also the entire Bangsamoro Government. It is a reflection of the collective dedication and hard work of our people in striving towards peace, progress, and nation-building.”
As a proud Bangsamoro, Yacob dedicated this award to the Bangsamoro people they serve, to the communities they strive to uplift, and to the vision of a peaceful and prosperous nation.
“I am beyond thankful for this incredible recognition, and may we always strive for excellence in our pursuit of peace and nation-building,” he said.
“Thank you once again for your attention and for acknowledging the work I have done for the Bangsamoro region and for peace,” the Minister stressed.
