COTABATO CITY—To promote a resilient workforce and foster collaboration among labor leaders, government officials, and industry stakeholders, the Bangsamoro Government hosted the Labor Summit and Productivity Olympics on Oct. 22, 2024, at Mall of Alnor in this city.
Through the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), the summit serves as a vital platform for key stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue and foster collaboration aimed at addressing current labor issues and promoting inclusive economic growth within the region.
“This event plays a crucial role in bringing together stakeholders from various sectors of society to discuss labor-related issues, protect our labor force, ensure full employment, and promote productivity initiatives,” said BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim.
“Let us continue becoming the architects of a stronger, economically resilient, and sustainable BARMM. Let us continue building bridges that transcend our borders and shaping a labor force where every employee is given the importance they rightly deserve,” Ebrahim added.
MOLE Minister Muslimin Sema underscored that the Ministry of Labor and Employment always emphasizes the essence of Tripartism in the daily lives of the community.
“Consistent with social justice and constitutional rights, the government, the employers, and the workers should altogether form the foundation in achieving sustainable economic development,” he said.
