COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Government’s MAFARamadhan Trade Fair is offering fresh and nutritious agriculture and fisheries products for consumers in this city and nearby towns during the month-long observation of Ramadan.
Located inside the Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC) here, the trade fair aims to help various cooperative markets and sell their products at reasonable prices.
“My appreciation to our exhibitors, especially to the heads of cooperative in always including Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) as your partner towards economic development in the region,” said MAFAR Minister Mohammad Yacob.
Yacob emphasized, “The main goal of this activity is to increase farmers, fisherfolk, and ARB’s income while providing facilities for them to showcase the unique products of the Bangsamoro people.”
Daud Lagasi, Director-General for Agriculture Services, hailed the opening of MAFARamadhan as a pivotal moment during the Ramadhan observance.
“The opening of MAFARamadhan is one of the important activities of the ministry during the observance of Ramadhan, and I would like to appreciate our farmers, fisherfolk, and agrarian reform beneficiaries for participating and showcasing their local products,” he said.
Director-General for Fisheries Services Pendatun Patarasa pledged the Ministry’s support to exhibitors, highlighting commitment to small-scale businesses in agri-fishery and agrarian reform beneficiaries.
The MAFARamadhan Trade Fair is open daily from 3:30 to 10 p.m.
Aside from MAFARamadhan, the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism (MTIT) opened the Ramadan Trade Fair, showcasing a wide array of Bangsamoro products, including delicious food and unique gift items perfect for this holy season. (Kasan Usop, Jr./BIO)
