BONGAO, Tawi-Tawi – Celebration of the 5th Bangsamoro Foundation Day became a bit more special for the education workers in this municipality as the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) inaugurated a newly-constructed 2-storey schools division office building.
On January 23, MBHTE Director General for Basic Education Abdullah Salik, Jr., who represented Minister Mohagher Iqbal, led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony of the said building worth P38-million.
The momentous occasion was also witnessed by Officer-in-Charge Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lermalyn Sanggogot, along with esteemed officials from the MBHTE regional office, the Provincial Government of Tawi-Tawi represented by Provincial Administrator Mobin Gambal, and guests from various agencies.
DG Salik emphasized in his message the Bangsamoro Government’s commitment to community development through strategic initiatives aimed at fortifying local infrastructure and educational facilities.
MBHTE’s dedication to this cause is evident in the provision of the new office building for the Schools Division of Tawi-Tawi located at Barangay Sowangkang. The move is especially significant as the current office building is over 40 years old.
With much excitement, MBHTE Tawi-Tawi division is set to relocate to the new office in next month, coinciding with preparations for the upcoming Provincial Meet scheduled early in February.
This new facility is a testament to the Ministry’s commitment to providing quality and holistic education for all, ensuring a bright future for students and educators and upholding the slogan” No Bangsamoro learner left behind”.
The establishment of the new office building also aligns with Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim’s 12-point priority agenda. (Laila Aripin/BIO)
