COTABATO CITY – To achieve a clear, efficient, and effective Bangsamoro E-Government Master Plan, the Bangsamoro Information and Communication Technology Office (BICTO) is holding a 3-day ICT strategic planning from April 25-27.
Attending the activity are fifty (50) Information Technology Officers from the different ministries and agencies of BARMM who were tasked to formulate the said plan’s vision, mission, strategies and programs, and identify desired outcome and goals.
“This is a historical moment, we are in planting the seeds of E-governance in the BARMM,” said BICTO Executive Director II Jonathan Mantikayan.
“Pag magkaroon tayo nitong vision—kasi whole of the (BARMM) government ito, ibig sabihin naka-anchored dito yung different ministries and agencies related to ICT,” he added.
Manticayan also said that strategic ICT planning must be an integral part of an organization’s planning and enterprise governance as ICT permeates all aspects of life, providing newer, better, and quicker ways for people to interact, network, seek help, gain access to information, and learn.
The E-Government Master Plan is aligned with the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) that is included in the 12 Point Priority Agenda of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim.
In his video message, Ebrahim said that the strategic planning is a crucial phase to the direction of the Bangsamoro Government in adapting to the modern technology and making sure that the government is more accessible to its constituents.
“And now, with BICTO leading the way towards a digitally transformed Bangsamoro, I am confident that we can reach further heights, and make the concept of moral governance more tangible, understandable,” said Ebrahim. (Myrna S. Tepadan/BIO)
