COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) on Thursday, March 10, turned over Php50,000.00 seed fund to each of the ten Ideation Impact Challenge (IIC) 2021 Champion Youth Organizations to support their community-based projects and initiatives.
In November 2021, the IIC 2021 was launched as proposal program for youth organizations that advocate for community peacebuilding and development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
BYC Commissioner Nasserudin Dunding, who represents Maguindanao, Cotabato City, and Special Geographic Area (SGA), led the distribution to the three (3) IIC champion youth organizations from Maguindanao and SGA at the BYC-MagCotSGA Provincial Office here in this city.
Dunding said BYC puts its “utmost trust in the champion youth organizations to implement and manage their respective initiatives.”
IIC 2021 Champions from the provinces of Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi also received their seed fund this week.
The event was spearheaded by BYC, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through Youth Co:Lab —a regional initiative co-led by Citi Foundation and Makesense Philippines.
