KORONADAL CITY – The Office of the Chief Minister’s Internal Audit Office (OCM-IAO) conducted in this city a four-day Midyear Performance Review, from June 22-25, to assess its goal for year 2022.
IAO is one of the newly created offices under the direct supervision and control of the Chief Minister. Its operation started last January 11, 2021 pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 0081 s. 2021.
Consistent with the overall goals of the OCM, the IAO’s mission is to provide independent, objective assurance, and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization’s objectives.
“The IAO, though independent in nature, works complementary to day-to-day monitoring of internal controls and the conduct of continued management improvement,” said IAO Chief Hasmiene D. Ibrahim.
“We were able to pre-audit a total of 508 vouchers and post-audited 475 paid checks for the period of January to June 2021,” she added.
IAO has the authority to perform broad and comprehensive internal auditing program within the OCM, the offices under it, its attached agencies, and its special programs and projects.
Its scope of work is to determine whether the OCM’s network of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning. (Bangsamoro Information Office)
