COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim encouraged the Bangsamoro Government workforce to sustain solidarity and inclusivity in public service as the country celebrates the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) in the entire month of September.
“As we celebrate the 123rd anniversary of the Civil Service Commission, let us not only look back but, more importantly, look ahead of us with a sense of purpose and determination. Together, we can make the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region a beacon of progress, fairness, and inclusivity in public service,” Chief Minister Ebrahim said in his address during the kickoff ceremony of the PCSA celebration in BARMM on September 1 in this city.
The Chief Minister highlighted the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) dedication and steadfastness in inspiring individuals, fostering teamwork, and promoting solidarity among government workers.
He underscored the CSC’s role in shaping the public service landscape, stressing the importance of virtue and meritocracy in government appointments.
Noting the Commission’s guidance during the initial stages of the Bangsamoro transition, Ebrahim mentioned the Commission’s role as a stalwart supporter of the Bangsamoro government, especially during the first years of its transition period.
“It has been the cornerstone of virtue and meritocracy, ensuring that positions in the public service are filled with individuals who not only possess necessary qualifications but also those who have a genuine passion for the betterment of our communities,” he said.
The Bangsamoro leader reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to collaborate with the Commission to create a bureaucracy that truly reflects the Bangsamoro people’s dreams and aspirations.
“As we commemorate this anniversary, let us also look forward with renewed vigor to the years ahead of us. Let us commit ourselves to continuing to build a bureaucracy that reflects the aspirations of our people. Let us work collaboratively across departments, units, and offices and unite as a formidable force in pursuit of positive change,” Ebrahim stressed.
He further urged everyone to not only reflect on the Commission’s history but also to look ahead with a strong sense of purpose and determination.
