COTABATO CITY—A steadfast commitment to fostering dynamism, propelling digital transformation, and innovations in public services were the messages resonated among Bangsamoro Government employees during the kickoff ceremony of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) celebration in BARMM on Friday, September 1.
Led by the Civil Service Commission (CSC for BARMM), this year’s anniversary carries the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes”.
Lida Ayon, Direction IV of CSC-BARMM, encouraged the government workforce to serve with strong dynamism and resilience in the public sector, saying, “With dynamism, the important contributing factors are innovation, digital transformation, excellence and continuous improvement of public service.”
“The celebration of 123rd PCSA, CSC focused on the importance of cultivating dynamism among government workers to foster sustainable management and strengthen organizational resilience,” Ayon said.
Various Ministries, Agencies, Offices, and stakeholders from BARMM gathered at the Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC) Compound in this city to formally commence the month-long celebration.
Ayon further emphasized the importance of fostering dynamism within the bureaucracy and implementing digital transformation projects and initiatives to enhance the satisfaction and experience of a changing citizenry.
“As dedicated public servants, we are expected to provide invaluable services. We should be determined to maintain services even in the most challenging situations. We are expected to do the right thing even if it’s not easy,” she further added.
During the flag ceremony, BARMM officials, government employees, and attendees recited the ‘Panunumpa ng Lingkod-Bayan’ and ‘Panunumpa sa Watawat,’ symbolizing their commitment to delivering quality public service to the Filipino people.
The celebration of PCSA is under Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, s. 1997, which designates September as Civil Service Month.
BARMM joins this year’s celebration with a series of activities throughout the month, including the Inter-Ministry Sports Tournament Opening Program, Kape Pandesal at Usapang Legal, and Online Zumba and Film Showing, among others. (Johaira Sahidala/BIO)
