COTABATO CITY—Lanao del Sur is set to benefit from the infrastructure and logistics projects of the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform-Philippine Rural Development Project (MAFAR-PRDP) after the recently held 2-day pre-construction conference on April 26-27, in Cagayan De Oro City.
The conference aimed to ensure the successful implementation of the Intensive Building Up of Infrastructure and Logistics for Development (I-BUILD) subprojects in the Municipalities of Lumba-Bayabao and Lumbayanague, Lanao del Sur.
The conference brought together various stakeholders, including the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO-BARMM), PSO Mindanao team, MAFAR Lanao del Sur, LGUs of Lumba-Bayabao and Lumbayanague, and contractors.
It served as a critical venue to identify potential challenges and concerns that may arise during the implementation of the project and discuss solutions to address them
Engr. Ashnairah Abdullah, head of the RPCO-BARMM I-BUILD Component, said, “this pre-conference is the crucial part of our project implementation.
It is very important to carry out to discuss what we need to know before the construction begins and identify the possible problems that may come up while implementing the Project.”
The pre-construction conference also paved the way for the successful implementation of various infrastructure projects in the province of Lanao del Sur, including the concreting of a 3.03-kilometer-long Farm-to-Market Road that will benefit the farmers and residents of Barangay Barit and Barangay Carandangan Municipality of Lumba-Bayabao.
Meanwhile, other infrastructure subprojects will also start soon to support the abaca farmers in the five Barangays of Lumbayanague, which includes the construction of three Warehouses with Solar Dryers and one Post Trading.
The LGU and contractors underwent an orientation on Social Environmental Safeguard, Applied Geotagging Tool, Administrative and Financial Matters, and Infrastructure Quality Monitoring and Durability System (IQMDS) during the event.
The Municipal Mayor of Lumba-bayabao, Mahar Dagalangit, expressed gratitude to the MAFAR-PRDP for the approval of the project and assured the full support of the LGU for the successful implementation of the project.
“Rest assured that the MLGU has full support for the successful implementation of the project,” she stressed.
Deputy Project Director Ammal Solaiman said the conference served as a venue to level off with all stakeholders involved from the province down to the barangays, said
