COTABATO CITY—Services offered by the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines are brought closer to the Bangsamoro constituents with the opening of its satellite office in Cotabato City on Sunday, June 4, 2023.
Vice President Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio personally graced the brief occasion, and was welcomed by Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim and other key BARMM officials.
VP Duterte said the opening the satellite office in the seat of the regional government in this city will bring the services of her office closer to the Bangsamoro constituents, including those living in the island provinces.
“Satellite offices are not built in every region, but rather in chosen locations where they can be easily accessed by people from other regions or islands,” the Vice President said.
In a press statement grabbed from the official facebook page of the OVP, it was said that the satellite office will boost its presence in the region.
“Sa tulong ng panibangong OVP Satellite Office, mas mapapalawak na natin ang pagbigay ng tulong sa ating mga kababayang nangangailangan ng ating mga programa lalo na ang medical at burial assistance,” the statement reads.
The OVP office, located at the city’s 16A Sinsuat Avenue, Rosary Heights VI, is the 9th satellite office of the OVP.
The office will enhance coordination efforts with various offices in BARMM in implementing various OVP services such as “Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day”, PagbaBAGo campaign, Kalusugan Food Truck, Pansarap nutritional feeding program, and calamity response under the Disaster Operations Center.
