COTABATO CITY—Islamic Studies and Arabic Language (ISAL) teachers across BARMM will now benefit from Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education’s (MBHTE) provision of teaching materials.
The first leg of the distribution of office supplies and equipment intended for ISAL teachers kicked off here on Thursday, March 30 at the Cotabato City Schools Division Office (SDO).
A total of 260 ISAL teachers under the MBHTE received clerical tables and chairs with 4-drawer steel cabinets, water dispensers, trash bins, and other teaching materials.
According to MBHTE Minister Mohagher Iqbal, there are more than five thousand Arabic teachers currently teaching in eleven (11) SDOs that are beneficiaries of the said program.
“Ito ay kabilang lamang sa comprehensive programs natin para matulungan ang mga BARMM teachers sa kanilang pagtuturo at patuloy po ang mga ganitong aktibidad,” the Minister said.
Iqbal further added that the said distribution is expected to continue to other school divisions until April.
“Apart from Madaris teachers, academic teachers are also scheduled to be given teaching and school supplies,” he added.
Meanwhile, Prof. Tahir Nalg, Director-General for Madaris Education said this is the first time that ISAL teachers were provided with such school supplies.
Cotabato City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Concepcion Balawag extended her gratitude to the MBHTE for the continued support and initiatives of the Bangsamoro Government to improve the quality of education.
