JOLO, Sulu — In strengthening Islamic Studies and Arabic Language (ISAL) in the province of Sulu, the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) organized an orientation focused on the checklist requirements for ISAL teachers.
Led on Nov. 30 by MBHTE-Sulu’s Directorate General for Madaris Education, the activity sought to enhance the overall performance of ISAL teachers in the province.
Yahya Titong, head of Sulu Madaris Division, stressed the need of equipping ISAL teachers with essential knowledge on checklist requirements which will enhance their efficiency and effectiveness in teaching. The checklist is required by the MBHTE regional office for the ISAL teachers to comply with.
“Let’s show that our ISAL teachers are serious in their duties and responsibilities,” Titong said, speaking in Tausug dialect.
He also commended the performance of the ISAL teachers in the province which gained positive remarks from MBHTE regional office during their official visit last October.
The ISAL teachers’ checklist requirements include various documents such as daily lesson logs, school registers, class records, daily attendance forms, class programs, minutes of meetings with photo documentation, daily time records, and monthly accomplishment reports.
MBHTE-Sulu envisions organizing series of lectures in the future to harness the knowledge of ISAL teachers in the province and advance their performance in their profession. This initiative is part of BARMM’s vision to provide quality and holistic education to every Bangsamoro. (Alline Jamar M. Undikan/BIO)
