Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmahtullahi Taala Wa Barakatuh.
The Bangsamoro Government joins everyone in commemorating the 7th Year Anniversary of the Signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro or the CAB. As one of the mother documents of our regional bureaucracy and the GPH-MILF Peace Process, the CAB contains the most critical provisions and areas of agreement that can truly honor our collective call to lasting peace, development, and right towards meaningful self-governance.
In the same effect, the transition period serves as a crucial phase to implement significant provisions of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro. Its eventual fulfillment will not be realized until the two tracks of the peace process and all its components are completed. From the installation of the bureaucracy to the assurance that our comrades on the ground are well taken care of — the CAB provides us a vision of a Bangsamoro that transitions from wounds to wins, from pains to promises, from stagnation to development.
Unfortunately, the momentum of institution building was momentarily halted by the global pandemic that no one expected. But similarly with our other experiences in this long journey, we are not new to setbacks and challenges. While this delay does pose a problem, we are confident and hopeful that we will be given the chance to properly lay down the necessary foundations for a systemized government and bureaucracy that reflects our aspirations and responds to the needs of our people.
Along these lines and with the guidance of the Almighty Allah SWT, we will see the full realization of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro.
