DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao del Norte — Through the regional government’s Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC), a total of 258 mothers and women from this town, who were displaced a month ago by tropical storm Paeng, received another set of relief assistance on Friday, Dec. 2.
The beneficiaries are staying at Kusiong Elementary School. Each of them were given a 5-kilo sack of rice, canned goods, dignity kits, slippers, and a water container. A total of 200 children were also provided with Jollibee meals.
To hear the concerns and challenges they are facing, BWC also conducted a dialogue, which Chairperson Bainon Karon said is part of the support of the regional government and its partners.
BWC will refer their concerns to the proper BARMM ministry or agency.
Friday’s activity was conducted through BWC’s Bangon Kababaihan and Kababaihan Ligtas Ngayon (Kalinga) programs, in partnership with the Federation of United Mindanawan Bangsamoro Women. (Myrna Tepadan/BIO)
