COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Government dispatched 3,500 relief packs to the local government unit of Lanao del Sur (LDS) on Saturday, Sept. 4.
Dubbed “Ayuda Mula sa Bangsamoro Government”, the activity is a convergence effort of the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) thru its Project Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan (TABANG), Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG), Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (BARMM-READI), and Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD).
The relief goods prepared in the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City are comprised of 2500 variety of food items from BARMM-READI, 1000 bags of rice from MSSD, and 10,000 hygienic kits from Project TABANG.
These were sent off to the said LGU in response to the call of LDS provincial government and PIATF Resolution No. 09, s. 2021: “A Resolution Prohibiting Non Essential Movement On Sundays and Mass Gatherings for September 4 – 13, 2021 in the Province of Lanao del Sur.”
BARMM Chief Minister said, “ang tulong na ito ay regular na ginawa natin sa BARMM dahil nakikita natin ang paghihirap ng ating mga kababayan.”
“We will do more kung saan kailangan, magpapadala tayo, ito ay bahagi ng Moral Governance na ina-advocate natin,” Ebrahim added.
According to MSSD Chief of staff Lyca T. Sarenas, three (3) municipalities will be initially served in this trip, namely Marawi, Marantao, and Wao during this lockdown.
“In response to the request of Gov. Adiong to the OCM, 28 barangays muna in Marawi, 16 barangays in Wao, and possible additional barangays in Marantao. Tuloy-tuloy ang ayuda na iyan habang tumatagal ang lockdown,” she added. (Bangsamoro Information Office)
