The Palarong Pambansa was held in Davao City from April 27 to May 4.
To recognize the efforts of the athletes, the Bangsamoro Government awarded on Monday, May 6, cash rewards to those who won medals in the national games.
P20,000 cash were given to each of the gold medalists, P15,000 each to silver, and P10,000 each to bronze medalists.
The region garnered a total of three golds, ten silvers, and six bronzes.

Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal, Assistant Executive, Secretary Abdullah Cusain, and Director Taya Aplal of the region’s Bureau of Physical Education and Special Events led the awarding ceremony.
“You have fought a great fight; you have surpassed the expectations,” Minister Iqbal told the athletes.
“This region has been in the bottom rank in 2017 with 9 medals in total. In 2018 we won just 3 medals, all bronze. This year you have brought home an amazing 19 medals,” Iqbal said. “You brought honour to BARMM. Thank you very much.”
The Bangsamoro region ranked 16th among the 17 regions in the country who joined this year’s national games.
