COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim reiterated on Dec. 17 the embodying of moral governance as a core value of Bangsamoro public servants.
This was emphasized during the oath-taking ceremony of a total of 148 Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) personnel at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex (SKCC), Bangsamoro Government Center here.
“It is the first time that we have moral governance because we need to ensure that we apply the moral teachings of Islam,” said Ebrahim.
“If such a value is gone, it is as if we disregarded (the essence of) our Bangsamoro struggles,” he added.
Dr. Muhammad Nadzir Ebil, Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ Islamic Jurist, stressed that moral governance has “no enemy,” for it is inclusive and respects other religions.
“Islam does not teach to be against non-Muslims. It is clear that Allah’s teaching is that everyone has rights,” he said.
The event was spearheaded by the OCM-Human Resource and Management Division (HRMD).
Promoting a stronger Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) bureaucracy is the first priority agenda of CM Ebrahim. (Johamin Inok/BIO)
