The mass MOA signing on August 02, 2024 marked the beginning of implementation of infrastructure projects totaling to P1,212,426,600.00 within Lanao del Sur’s second district. These projects include the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, water supply systems, and other infrastructures needed by the grassroot communities.
With these new infrastructures, the Bangsamoro Government aims to improve the communities’ access to basic services and foster socio-economic development in the region.
In his message to the contractors, MPW-2nd DEO District Engineer Maldamin Decampong reiterated the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the timely and quality completion of infrastructure projects.
“I am reminding everybody that as stated in the contract, we are committed to overseeing the projects to make sure that the infrastructures meet the quality standards and the time frame allocated for each project,” he said.
One the other hand, Sambitory Dimaporo, representative of Unayan Builders and Construction Supply, said “Let us be united in supporting the BARMM and MPW in accomplishing these projects awarded to us.”
“It took a jihad to build BARMM and it is now our responsibility to continue building a good future for our communities. In shaa Allah, all of us contractors will religiously adhere to what is stipulated in the contracts we signed,” he added.
According to Decampong, this will be their last mass MOA signing ceremony for this year. All their projects have been successfully awarded to various winning private contractors, and those that have started construction are now being regularly monitored. (Norjana Malawi/BIO)
