ILIGAN CITY – Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo of the Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) said that in order to ensure that the region’s services has an impact in the grassroots level, the ministry will push for collaboration and convergence with the constituent local government units.
“Kung inyo pong matatandaan noong umupo ang mga mayors, isa sa mga sinabi namin na ang MILG ay sisiguruhin na merong alignment at potential convergence sa implementation nung plans and priorities ng mga LGUs at ng regional government,” he said.
Sinarimbo said this during the conduct of the 2-day Bangsamoro Governance Pre-Summit for LGUs of Lanao del Sur province held in this city from July 15-16.
About 40 local chief executives from the province, together with Governor Mamintal Adiong, were present during the activity. The LGUs’ proposed priority projects and programs for FY 2022 were consolidated and deliberated, and the output will be presented in the 2021 Bangsamoro Governance Summit to be held on July 23 in Cotabato City.
“Ang interventions ng region should translate into uplifting the lives of our people. Lahat ng programa, the center of it is really the upliftment of the lives of the Bangasamoro people,” Sinarimbo said.
“Whether it is about creating road network or directly providing medical assistance to our constituents, at the center of that is yung buhay nung mga kababayan natin,” he added.

“The Bangsamoro will never be successful unless we become one in its direction, unless we become one the way our forefathers once were, and unless we synchronize as one in all levels of government,” said Ebrahim.
