COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Government is set to hold its convergence service activities in the island province of Basilan in the last week of September.
The Office of the Chief Minister (OCM), through its Project Tulong Alay sa Bangsamorong Nangangailangan (TABANG), will lead the upcoming big event in the said province.
Project TABANG is a convergence activity of the different BARMM ministries which aims to bring all its government services to the people.
This initiative was conceptualized to make sure that the people are oriented towards what the government offers and, to an extent, save them the hassle of traveling to the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City just to avail of the bureaucracy’s services.
“Ang Project TABANG ay ang facilitator ng pagbuo nitong big event na kung saan ang ating Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim ang mangunguna sa programa,” TABANG Project Manager Tomanda Antok said.
Available services during the anticipated event will include relief distribution, distribution of agri-fisheries inputs, free medical consultation, distribution of medicines, free business registration and business counseling, legal services, among others.
“Buong region ng BARMM, outside na communities na kung saan mayroong Bangsamoro ay naabot ng Office of the Chief Minister through different ministries, agencies, and offices,” Antok said.
“Sa ating mga kababayan, lagi pong iniisip ng BARMM kung paano mapaganda at mapabilis ang serbisyo ng BARMM patungo sa kani-kanilang mga kanayunan,” he added.
The Ministries of Social Services and Development (MSSD), Interior and Local Government (MILG), Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Science and Technology (MOST), Public Order and Safety (MPOS), Trade, Investment and
Tourism (MTIT), Health (MOH), Transportation and Communication (MOTC), Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC), Bangsamoro Human Rights Commission (BHRC), Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC), and others will be providing services for the Basileños.
Meanwhile, the schedule for convergence activities for the towns of Guindulungan and Barira in Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Special Geographic Area (SGA), Davao Region, Zamboangga Sibugay, and other nearby Bangsamoro communities is yet to be finalized. (Myrna Tepadan/BIO)
