COTABATO CITY—To boost the morale of men in uniform and to effectively protect the community, the Bangsamoro Government turned over on Mar 19, a police station building to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Maimbung, Sulu.
Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) head Atty. Naguib G Sinarimbo, along with Governor Abdusakur Tan, formally handed over the new Municipal Police Station (MPS) to Maimbung’s Mayor, Shihla Tan-Hayudini.
According to Minister Atty Sinarimbo that the new police station is anticipated to raise the morale of the uniformed and non-uniformed staff, inspire them to better serve and protect the community, and inspire them to give their all to make Maimbung a safer place to live.
“We will continue to support the PNP in the Bangsamoro to ensure that we achieve peace and stability for our Tausug brethren so that they may enjoy progress and development in the province of Sulu,” Sinarimbo said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Hayudini expressed her sincere gratitude to the Bangsamoro government, saying, “the new MPS is a step in the right direction toward its goal of creating a respectable workplace that both uniformed personnel and civilian employees can be proud of. It is a boost to their spirits, enabling them to better serve Maimbung.”
The officials present at the event were MILG Sulu Provincial Director Emini T Kadiri, PNP Provincial Director PCOL Narciso Paragas, Acting Provincial Fire Marshall SINSP Jayson T Ahijon, Sangguniang Bayan Members, Maimbung Police Station personnel, municipal employees, and barangay officials.
