COTABATO CITY— Delivery of healthcare services in the provinces of Maguindanao gets a boost with the appointment of 128 permanent health professionals from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).
“Human Resources is one of the most important investments for health,” said Bangsamoro Health Minister Dr. Rizaldy Piang who led the mass oath-taking ceremony on March 24.
“This provision is a big move to improve the health service delivery in Maguindanao,” the minister said.
According to Piang, the appointees belonged to Maguindanao Provincial Hospital, Buluan District Hospital, Datu Blah T. Sinsuat District Hospital, and Iranun District Hospital.
In an interview, Piang said, “I reminded them that we have to purify our intentions when we do our tasks and responsibilities in line with the mandates of the Bangsamoro Health ministry.”
He said the new healthcare workers underwent a rigorous screening process, which included written and online examination, and interview. Furthermore, MOH is also continuously conducting screening processes for other positions in the ministry. (Myrna Tepadan/BIO with reports from MOH)
