COTABATO CITY—Essential agricultural inputs were provided by the Bangsamoro Government to support agricultural endeavors of the local farmers of Labungan village, in Datu Odin Sinsuat (DOS), Maguindanao del Norte on July 5, 2023.
Among the distributed items include 100 sacks of hybrid corn seeds, 300 bags of urea (46-0-0), 125 bags of complete fertilizer (14-14-14), 150 bags of foliar fertilizer, 4 units of knapsack battery sprayer, and 5 rolls of barbed wire purposely to aid farmers in their cultivation efforts and increase of productions.
Expressing gratitude for the substantial assistance received through the BARMM’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Mohammad Campong, a member of the Makinugon Farmers Producer Cooperative, acknowledged the significant benefits of the inputs.
“These agri-inputs we received have enormous potential for us farmers to boost our agriculture production and become role models among the beneficiaries of MAFAR,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Abdulnasser Kamad, a representative of the Special Development Fund (SDF) Project Management Office, thanked MAFAR for its efforts in implementing the project and hoped that the beneficiaries would effectively utilize the provided inputs.
“We want to witness the positive transformations these inputs would bring to the farmers’ agricultural endeavors and their overall livelihood impact,” Kamad emphasized.
Accordingly, the distribution of these essential agricultural inputs reflected the MAFAR and the Bangsamoro Government’s commitment to supporting and empowering farmers, specifically the former combatants.
