COTABATO CITY—Ministry of Interior and Local Government’s (MILG) Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi) distributed a total of 2,000 packs of relief assistance to flood-affected victims at Poblacion 9 here on Saturday, Sept.10.
MILG Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo said Poblacion 9 has been a flooded community for several months.
“Since the directive of the Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim is to help our communities who are devastated by flood here, it is our normal program usually triggered by the request of the constituents, especially the elected officials,” Sinarimbo said.
Meanwhile, Poblacion 9 Brgy. Chairman Jonas Mohammad thanked the Bangsamoro Government for extending humanitarian aid to the flood-affected communities of this city.
“On behalf of my constituents, we are grateful to the MILG, to Allah above all, and to the BARMM Government head by Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim,” said Mohammad.
Other flood-affected barangays of this city will also receive the same relief assistance from READi in the coming days. (Majid Nur/BIO)
