Bangsamoro Interim Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim delivered his first speech for 2020 during the 31st cabinet meeting on Monday, January 13, at the Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.
Part of Chief Minister Ebrahim’s speech is the reminders of the Bangsamoro Government’s priorities, which included the implementation of policies, reforms, and programs parallel with ‘moral governance’ advocacy.
“In order to deliver these priorities, we need people who are willing to serve the Bangsamoro. This can be done through the implementation of an independent, credible and merit-based hiring and selection process, as mandated by the organic law,” Ebrahim said.
He mentioned that the Bangsamoro Job Portal serves as one of the mechanisms to achieve this vision. “The portal was overwhelmingly received by our people, seeking opportunities to be part of the new bureaucracy […] we should, by all means, ensure that this opportunity will not be wasted.”
Chief Minister Ebrahim also lauded his cabinet’s efforts in implementing programs and projects in just less than a year and reminded them to continue the support and determination.
“We still have a long way to go […] there are still challenges ahead, but I am confident that with sincere intention, we will be able to overcome these convincingly, In Shaa Allah,” Ebrahim added.
