Eighteen persons have been injured in an explosion yesterday at the town of Isulan in Sultan Kudarat province.
Eight months ago, on August 28, 2018, a deadly bombing in Isulan killed 3 and injured 36 others as it celebrated its Hamungaya Festival. Five days later on September 2, two were killed and 12 were injured after another explosion rocked the town.
The Bangsamoro Government vehemently condemns these barbaric acts in Mindanao.
While Sultan Kudarat is not part of the autonomous Bangsamoro region, the Bangsamoro Government is utterly committed to coordinate with other government organizations in countering this violence. For decades, lasting peace has been the aspiration not only of the Bangsamoro people, but also of the indigenous people and Christians of Mindanao.
We must all stand united , Moro and non-Moro alike.
We pray for the victims and their families. We trust that the authorities will exert all efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, and that justice will be served.
