Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
We welcome the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1440 AH which corresponds to the 6th of May 2019. We feel blessed as Allah (SWT) gives us again this month Of blessings, sacrifices and forgiveness.
The turnover of transition documents of ARMM to BARMM last February 26 and the formal inauguration of BARMM on March 29 were all milestones in the struggle of the Bangsamoro people. Allah (SWT) granted us our aspirations as a people this year in such a time that we have begun the administration of BARMM in the significant months of Rajab, Sha’ban and this Ramadhan.
Now, we are faced again with new kinds Of challenges requiring new forms of Jihad and struggle We need Allah’s guidance and assistance as we try to find solutions to problems of governance, poverty and security. We hope to find again the requisite patience, forbearance and wisdom as we fast in this month of Ramadhan.
With the establishment of the new Bangsamoro Government, we vow to uphold moral governance as the foundation of our leadership. We are aware that not all would abide by this, and some take it in sneer and derision, But we are serious in this respect, because what is at stake is the struggle of the Bangsamoro as well as our integrity as your leaders in the MILF and in the BTA.
This is our shared struggle for the betterment of the Bangsamoro. We, in the Bangsamoro Government, hope that whatever good practices we would imbibe from Ramadhan will still go beyond the fasting period.
May we take the time to pray to the Almighty Allah and recognize our shared responsibilities to work in solidarity in bringing long lasting peace and development in the Bangsamoro.
We pray that the Almighty Allah will accept all our prayers amidst hardships and struggles. May this month of Ramadhan bring us closer to Him and lead us towards sharing more love and respect to others regardless of religion, ethnicity, and stations in life.
