COTABATO CITY—Bangsamoro Sports Commission (BSC) unveiled the 12-in-1 Obstacle Course Box Sports facility on Monday, March 29, inside the Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC) in Cotabato City.
The sports facility was donated by Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between its President Atty. Alberto C. Agra and BARMM Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim last December 23, 2020.
The establishment of the said facility aims to contribute in the sports development program of the Bangsamoro Sports Commission-BARMM while promoting health and wellness to all sports enthusiasts and sustainability for a more vibrant and active community.
BSC Chairman Nu-man C. Caludtiag said, “War is over. Let’s put our strength and power in the battle of sports and not in war anymore. I believe that through sports, we could attain peace and transitional justice in the region.”
According to Caludtiag, sports enthusiasts could start using the facility for free before and after office hours and during weekends, provided that the minimum health protocols are being followed.
For the mean time, the obstacle box facility, which has eight obstacles—monkey box, over the wall, traverse wall, pull ups, under the wall, wall through, rings, dips—and four exercise stations, will be placed momentarily inside the BGC while BSC is looking for a location where it can be permanently established.
