COTABATO CITY—In pursuit of providing quality health services for the Bangsamoro, the Ministry of Health (MOH) inaugurated the newly-constructed operating/delivery building, 15-bed capacity medical ward under the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP), and a motorpool building to Datu Odin Sinsuat District Hospital in Maguindanao.
OIC Health Minister Amirel Usman, together with OIC Chief of hospital Dr. Elizabeth Samama and Maguindanao Provincial Health officer Mohammad Ariff Baguindali, led the ceremonial turnover and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
Dr. Usman said the ministry’s main goal is to provide a comfortable living condition to every Bangsamoro through health services whether preventive approach or curative.
He commend all the Bangsamoro health warriors for their steadfastness, altruism and commitment to serve the people.
“Today, as we are turning over the object of this event, in this health facility, let us all help one another. Let us all focus on a greater goal for all the Bangsamoro,” Usman said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Samama emphasized that these facilities will become an integral part of the said hospital.
“To the Bangsamoro Government, we are really optimistic that you will touch the lives of each and every Bangsamoro constituents all throughout the region,” she said.
“Hopefully together, we can really work so hard para mas ma improve pa ang operation ng hospital,” she added.
MOH also provided thirty (30) transport boxes dedicated for Covid-19 specimen and thirty-nine (39) boxes of maternity kits containing napkin, undergarments, baby’s kit to Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO-Maguindanao).
A similar activity will also be conducted on Nov. 20, at Parang Rural Health Unit (RHU) in Parang, Maguindanao.
On Nov. 13, the Bangsamoro Government, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPPAP), and Department of Health (DOH) have entered into an agreement for the construction of rural health clinics with Php57 Million-worth of funds intended for the decommissioned members of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
