The 8th cabinet meeting was presided by Mohagher Iqbal, minister of education.
“We are not designing a structure for ourselves or for Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) but instead we are designing structure for the Bangsamoro Government,” Iqbal said.
He also reminded the ministers that the structure must be based on the actual needs of the Bangsamoro people and the Bangsamoro Government.
After the finalization of the proposed organizational structure, the ministers will submit it to the Bangsamoro Transition Authority for approval.
The BTA serves as the interim government of the Bangsamoro autonomous region before a regular election of the members of parliament is held in 2022.
