The Regional Commission on Bangsamoro Women (RCBW) officially culminated the month-long celebration of the National Women’s Month in the Bangsamoro Region on Tuesday, April 2, in Cotabato City.
Hadja Bainon Karon, RCBW chairperson and Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) member, said gender and culture sensitivity, equity and equality, must remain as the major drivers for a sustainable and inclusive BARMM.
“I am hoping that the acknowledgment of the contribution of women in our society doesn’t end today. Let’s bring with us the joy of knowing women’s worth of which our continuous efforts are anchored on,” she added.
During the activity, two (2) agencies were awarded as the BARMM Gender and Development (BGAD) awardees namely: Ministry of Public Works (MPW) and Regional Human Rights Commission (RHRC).
