The BARMM’s first Ramadhan Trade Fair is now officially open to the public after its ceremonial launching on Wednesday afternoon, May 8, 2019, inside the Office of the Chief Minister Compound in Cotabato City.
BARMM officials, together with the Wali of the Bangsamoro Government Sheikh Khalifa Usman Nando and Grand Mufti Abu Huraira Udasan, led the cutting of the ribbon which signified the opening of the Ramadhan Trade Fair.
The Office of the Chief Minister, together with the Ministry of Trade, Investment, and Tourism (MTIT), took the lead to put up said event.
MTIT Officer-in-Charge Rosslaini Alonto Sinarimbo underscored the essence of the opening of the trade fair. She said the Trade Fair is not just to provide instant market for the employees and other nearby customers who fast, but most importantly, “to provide opportunities such as jobs and income during the period of Ramadhan.”
“We encourage everyone to support this month-long activity and the blessings it brings to the community,” Sinarimbo added.
Bigger dining areas and well-ventilated spaces are provided so that it will be conducive for everyone who visits, especially those with their families and friends.
A nightly program or Muhadara, sponsored by the different BARMM ministries/agencies, is scheduled every night as part of the Trade Fair activities.
The Trade Fair has 70 booths installed that offer food and non-food items and will run for the whole month of Ramadhan. The fair opens daily from 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm
