The drafting of the first Bangsamoro Regional Development Plan (BRDP) 2020-2022, the region’s development road map, has been completed.
This was announced by Engr. Mohajirin Ali, executive director of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), during the regular Kapihan sa Bangsamoro held on Tuesday, December 03, in Cotabato City.
The drafting of the 1st BRDP was directed by the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through the BPDA.
It can be recalled that the BPDA has conducted series of consultations on the formulation of the BRDP 2020-2022 with the local goverment officials of each of the BARMM’s member provinces and cities.
BPDA has also organized series of workshops for the planning officers and technical staff of the Bangsamoro Government’s different ministries and offices.
Ali said once the Bangsamoro Economic Development Council (BEDC) will be established, “we will present the BRDP to the BEDC and the council will deliberate the draft development plan for the BARMM.”
BEDC will be the highest policymaking body in the BARMM.
He added “we are continuing to enhance it (BRDP), lalong lalo na doon sa mga inputs provided to us by the Cabinet during our presentation last week to them.” (Bureau of Public Information)
