The Bangasamoro Darul-Ifta, in partnership with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Consortium of Bangsamoro Civil Society (CBCS), has recently adopted a program to promote the children’s rights in Islam.
The program entails series of sermons on child rights such as registration of birth, education, health and nutrition, protection from violence, and others. The sermons will be delivered by a Khatib (preacher) during Friday’s congregational prayers.
Bangsamoro Grand Mufti and Darul-Ifta Executive Director Abu Huraira Udasan reminded that the parents are obliged to raise their children in accordance with the Islamic way for them to become well-disciplined and good Muslims.
