Executive Secretary Esmael Pasigan of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and New Zealand Ambassador David Strachan discussed possible partnership between the Bangsamoro government and the New Zealand government on Monday, June 10.

Stratchan, who paid a courtesy call to the regional government in Cotabato City, said his government is willing to provide leadership trainings for the officials of the newly-established Bangsamoro government. He also offered short-term scholarship to officials who will undergo leadership training in New Zealand for four weeks.

“We’ve always been your partner in your journey towards peace in the region,” he said.

Pasigan thanked the ambassador for the continued support of New Zealand to the Bangsamoro government.

Honorary Consul Vicente Lao, Cabinet Secretary Asnin Pendatun and other BARMM officials were also in the meeting.
