A total of 300 mango farmers from the nine municipalities of Maguindanao have been confirmed as graduates of the School on-the-Air program of the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR).
Dr. Mohammad Yacob, minister of MAFAR, led the graduation ceremony on Monday, April 15.
In his speech, Minister Yacob highlighted that one of the mandates of MAFAR is to support education. “Education is one of the keys to development. It is one of the ways to achieve our goals,” he said.
The farmers successfully passed the course on mango flower induction technology with processing and marketing. The SOA program aired 6:00-7:00AM every Sunday, from December 2018 to March 2019 at Radyo Bida dxMS-AM.
The graduates are from the following municipalities: Datu Paglas Midtimbang; Datu Odin Sinsuat; Datu Unsay Ampatuan; Guindulungan; Mamasapano; Northern Kabuntalan; Parang; Sultan Mastura; and Talayan.
